How do you determine that updating has ceased? because there is, from day to day. no download of new / refreshed virus signatures [ previously openSuSE 12.2 had frequent updates : now, the same each day, without updates ] regards Ellan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Yes, daily.cvd is updated up to several times a day, but with the output you posted, you clearly have the latest version: ClamAV update process started at Thu Nov 29 20:30:57 2012 main.cvd is up to date (version: 54, sigs: 1044387, f-level: 60, builder: sven) daily.cvd is up to date (version: 15662, sigs: 290624, f-level: 63, builder: ccordes) bytecode.cvd is up to date (version: 202, sigs: 40, f-level: 63, builder: neo) The clamav signatures files on my system: # ls --full-time /var/lib/clamav/*cvd -rw-r--r-- 1 clamav daemon 59212 2012-11-16 20:30:53.849421238 +0100 /var/lib/clamav/bytecode.cvd -rw-r--r-- 1 clamav daemon 6950267 2012-11-29 17:06:33.573399933 +0100 /var/lib/clamav/daily.cvd -rw-r--r-- 1 clamav daemon 30750647 2011-10-22 18:17:38.256156669 +0200 /var/lib/clamav/main.cvd -- Per Jessen, Zürich (2.1°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free DNS hosting, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

... We do usual updates to the latest versions via online update anyway for every security update. But well. I am second guessing the reporter has the "freshclam" service running already and a second script then produces no output.
