[opensuse-factory] PrtScr failure in TW installer
Maybe it's intentional for lack of expected need compared to work involved to provide functionality, so I ask here before filing a bug. PrtScr worked as expected on the "Computer Role" screen. However, when I opened the "Computer Role" screen's help, PrtScr did nothing. I went back to the "Clock and Time Zone" screen, and its help screen also disabled the PrtScrn button. So, it's not currently possible to get screenshots of the installer's help screens. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." I take those screenshots in a virtual machine. I didn't know you could take them "inside". What should happen when you press the key, a photo is saved where? -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.2 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)

A file picker window opens with a prespecified filename and location, along with ability to change name and location, pretty much like happens with a common screenshot program like ksnapshot or a file-save in a web browser. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Program that is configured in (global) shortcuts for this key is started. Nothing magical.
Well, that key worked in the past in any computer even without operating system installed. Just needed a printer connected to the parallel port. It was handled directly by the bios, at least in text mode. I don't remember in graphic mode what happened, perhaps it worked. So you see, in my memory it has always been special, and it never occurred to me to try it during Linux installation. :-) If it works on some places yes, some not, means that it is not the installation "desktop" who handles it. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E.
