Please do NOT drop keepassx!
keepassx
This is used by a number of opensuse users and has a decade of followers that rely on this package. Many users will be caught by the package removals -- that's why posts like this would be more uses on the "users" list. Many users do not follow the factory list and will wholly be caught off-guard by the changes. -- David C. If you check the BSC thread, it says
keepassx kpassgen
keepassxc should be preferred Abandoned security applications mean they're dangerous for users.

The question is: Would you find new maintainers on the users list? Because that is what is needed to keep it alive, no? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

+1 According to https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1159041#c9 there is no reason to drop it. Works pretty well (at least for me), and it was recently updated to version 2.5.3. I don't see version 2.5.3 of keepassx:

Now, KeePassXC does have version 2.5.3, different fork.

No problem :-) Now, I do not know/see why use KeePassX instead of KeePassXC. What advantages has the older version? Compatibility with Android app, perhaps? I use KeePassXC and I depend on it. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.1 x86_64 at Telcontar)
