[opensuse-factory] KDE disk full error message
Hi Guys I just updated my notebook to current factory and see that kde has been updated (new SUSE menu etc). The jury is still out on the menu, but there is a new app which checks the disk usage and pops up an annoying error message all the time to say that you are down to X% disk space and would you like to open konqueror to clean out your home dir. I told it no a number of times and also clicked the "bugger off and leave me alone in future" tickbox to no avail and it kept coming back. Now for some reason (maybe in frustration I clicked yes the last time, I dont remember) it keeps randomly popping up new konqueror windows... Somebody please take this feature out the back and whack it with a big stick! Failing that, please make sure that it has a "bugger off and leave me alone in future" option that actually works! Bugs in factory should be reported in bugzilla, not complained about on mailing lists. If you don't know that, perhaps it's not a good idea for you to be running factory. This bug in particular is a known bug which has been reported to KDE and solved, the fix will be included in a forthcoming version --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Yep. I am aware of that (Thanks for the abrasive comment though), but I also was of the understanding the this list was for test reports and discussion of bug/features in factory. Am I mistaken? If so what exactly IS the charter of this list? (The website says "Discussion about all Alpha, Beta, RC and Factory versions of openSUSE Linux")

Nope. I tried that 4 or 5 times. It does not (at present) Cheers -- Peter Nixon http://www.peternixon.net/ PGP Key: http://www.peternixon.net/public.asc

That's because the fixed package did not yet appear in Factory so far, and Factory seems to be locked right now (maybe because of the internal Alpha4plus release). Please bee patient and wait for a kdebase3 package with this changelog entry: Mon Sep 18 13:56:22 CEST 2006 - ltinkl@xxxxxxx - fixing low disk space warning dialog (the don't-show-again case) Andreas Hanke --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
