TW Kernel 6.1 and Multi-Gen LRU
Kernel 6.1 introduced Multi-Gen LRU but it does not yet appear to be enabled in TW by checking cat /sys/kernel/mm/lru_gen/enabled which returns 0x0000 Are there plans to enable this in the TW kernels? Is so is there an ETA? Is there a problem which is why it has not already been enabled ? Thanks

it is enabled (compiled in) but not enabled by default (active). you can enable it by doing an echo y > that file.

We follow the upstream default here. it hasn't been enabled by default by upstream either. I asked the same question a few weeks ago our kernel team. I recommend you to try it out and find / report issues (upstream that is). I have used it in one if the 6.1 RCs and it worked fine (albeit no measurable performance improvement or decrease in the benchmarks I tried). Greetings, Dirk
