[opensuse-factory] One click install
Hi everybody, I'm trying one click install in openSUSE 10.2 with the ymp files provided by http://software.opensuse.org/search but it doesn't work, Yast doesn't runs the ymp file and I have installed the last version of yast2-metapackage-handler. Is this a problem or the one click install feature will only work in openSUSE 10.3? Where did you obtain the package from, is it 0.5.x from openSUSE:/tools/openSUSE_10.2 repository? I believe the 10.2 package should have the appropriate mimetypes included, what browser are you using? and have you restarted it since installing? _ Benjamin Weber --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Hi Benjamin, I obtained the package (version 0.5.2-1.1) from openSUSE:/tools/openSUSE_10.2 repository. I am using Konqueror as browser and I restarted since installing. I tested a previous version sometime ago and it worked fine. Same problem testing it with Suse 10.1, but I don't know if yast2-metapackage-handler is going to be supported in this version. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
Does YaST fail to start completely, or does the process fail when the installation is attempted? If the former, please paste the last 20 or so lines of your ~/.y2log _ Benjamin Weber --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
Also do a rpm -q perl-XML-XPath , This package is available on packman/guru/various places in the build service if you don't have it. The x86_64 version seems to be missing from the openSUSE:/tools repository. _ Benjamin Weber --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I have instaled perl-XML-XPath: perl-XML-XPath-1.13-1.guru.suse102 YaST fails to start completely, these are the two lines added to my ~/.y2log when I tried to install amarok (or other program) using a ymp file: 2007-08-16 18:09:51 <1> mono(3708) [liby2] genericfrontend.cc(main):244 Launched YaST2 component 'y2base' 'MetaPackageHandler' '("/home/mono/amaroK.ymp")' 'qt' '' 2007-08-16 18:09:51 <3> mono(3708) [liby2] genericfrontend.cc(print_error):600 No such client module MetaPackageHandler --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

The association in the backported package is wrong, the packager has changed it, I suggest trying the package again in a few hours. _ Benjamin Weber --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Ok, thank you Benjamin. Should be possible to include some kind of information, a installation guide or something in http://software.opensuse.org, about the things you need in order to get working the "one click install" feature in versions of openSUSE distinct from 10.3? I know that some people wanted to test this feature in openSUSE 10.2 but as there is no information about how to get working it, they didn't know how to run the ymp files. Another question: one click install should run in all versions of openSUSE?
