https://github.com/electron/asar ASAR (Atom Shell Archive) is a tar/cpio clone originating in Node JS/Electron. It is incompatible with everything else and has relatively poor software support. Please don't use it except for building Node applications.

I think I should refrain from putting Opinions™ into package metadata — then again, Fedora advertises Chromium as “the browser Google does not want you to use”…
