Moin. :) While loading the ipw2200 driver I get the message "unable to load firmware". Do I need the non-oss AddOn.iso to get this driver running or am I missing something else? This is an RC3 install on a Dell 6000 Inspiron. Greetings, Michael -- I love deadlines, especially the sound they make as they go whooshing by.

Yes, you need the ipw-firmware from the non-oss Addon - or from the extra tree, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj/ SUSE Linux Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

There are 2 additional packages I believe. There is the binary-only firmware and regulatory demon (which may now be included in the firmware package) both of which are necessary for the kernel module to load. I opened a bug https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=163140 which has had different reports on resolution over automatically installing on the new release when the add-on media is included as an install source. I haven't had a chance to reinstall to see if this is really fixed or not, and likely won't until GA. Sander
