[opensuse-factory] Suggestion about the entry of new package
Hi all. This message is to suggest the entry of the SageMath package, it is FOSS and I consider it very useful for the educational area. Below its description: SageMath is a free open-source mathematics software system licensed under the GPL. It builds on top of many existing open-source packages: NumPy, SciPy, matplotlib, Sympy, Maxima, GAP, FLINT, R and many more. Access their combined power through a common, Python-based language or directly via interfaces or wrappers. Mission: Creating a viable free open source alternative to Magma, Maple, Mathematica and Matlab. http://www.sagemath.org/ If you think it is possible to include it in the official repositories, I would appreciate it if someone did. Without further ado, I thank you for your attention to the present. Cheers. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
As openSUSE is a 'do-ocracy', go ahead and do it! Quick look at OBS shows that there are already attempts to build it. Once it builds properly in your home-project, find a suitable development project, submit it there and afterwards to Factory. Once it is in Factory, submit it to the next Leap. Hope that helps... Well, thanks for the recommendation and, above all, for letting me know the steps to follow. I will review the Open Build Service. Blessings. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Well, thanks for the recommendation and, above all, for letting me know the steps to follow.
I will review the Open Build Service.
Best would be to align with those people who did already some work. And dont forget - openSUSE community is friendly and helpful! Cheers Axel -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
