EncFs to be replaced by GoCryptFs due to security reasons - not work
Hi Together, due to the fact that EncFS last commit was 2020 but still have security issues: https://github.com/vgough/encfs/issues/604 I would replace it with GoCryotFS https://github.com/rfjakob/gocryptfs (Remark should be also supported by KDE/Plassma tool Vaults. There it is visible but to missing integration in Tumbleweed, not possible to use. If I search at openSUSE pacakges, there is tumbleweed listed as supported at experimental package but it is not listed at the build results https://software.opensuse.org/package/gocryptfs https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/devel%3Alanguages%3Ago/gocryptfs Do someone know how I can report this issue? Anything listed as "Experimental" on software.opensuse.org isn't an official part of the project. If it was a part of the project then open security issues with no updates would generally lead to it being dropped. As such your only real solution is to try and contact the last few people mentioned in the .changes file and see if they are still interested. There is a significant chance that no one (maybe other then yourself) is currently interested and that would likely mean that you yourself would have to do much of the work although there are likely people willing to help teach you. -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B
