Why has nothing happened for 2 months on this Samba issue?

Am I the only person using Samba in openSUSE 15.3? I cannot believe this is not affecting other users.
I reported a problem with openSUSE 15.3 the day after I upgraded from 15.2.
openSUSE 15.3 clients running CIFS to an openSUSE 15.3 Samba mount could not delete files. Neither can Windows clients.

openSUSE 15.2 uses Samba 14.1 and Tumbleweed uses Samba 14.4
Arch Linux recommends using 14.2 - 14.3 has this known problem.
It's weird that adding -UHAVE_STROPTS_H to CFLAGS has no effect on the build error. So I removed these lines directly. https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/912522
I can't answer the question in the subject, but this looks to me like Samba bug 14617. See https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14617 for tested patches. Best regards Gottfried
