Now, at least beta 2 detects the hard drives, and apparently the isues with the ahci driver are resolved for the ATI SB600/RD580 chipset.

installed 10.3 beta 1 32 bits in the hard drive (upgraded from 10.2). I used the resizing tool in other system with beta 1, and it worked fine (chipset AMD 8111/8131). I mean it could be a problem with the ahci driver.

Please file it as bug and let's see what the developers say. Sounds like something went wrong with the patch generation. I'll try to get this resolved.
