We have just released an update for sax2, which includes a fix for this issue. In case you don't have any update repository configured on your openSUSE 10.3 Beta2 installation, just add http://download.openSUSE.org/update/10.3/ or download the sax2 packages directly from that URL. Is a 1 CD install available on the ftp? I DL'ed the single install CD and it appears needs 2 more sources on the standard install. The install bar shows 2 more sources and the install fails... openSUSE 10.3b1 installs fine from one CD on the same machine... Now, at least beta 2 detects the hard drives, and apparently the isues with the ahci driver are resolved for the ATI SB600/RD580 chipset. I could'nt install beta 2, because it could'nt resizing a ext3 partition, to create a new for installing 10.3 beta 2 X86-64. I have installed 10.3 beta 1 32 bits in the hard drive (upgraded from 10.2). I used the resizing tool in other system with beta 1, and it worked fine (chipset AMD 8111/8131). I mean it could be a problem with the ahci driver. I'm sorry, it is not a bug. I forgot to uncheck add additional repository sources during the beginning install. The one CD install works fine in both KDE and GNOME openSUSE 10.3b2 after the "default" additional repository as sources during install. Sorry about that, Thanks! Tha fix of sax2 is only for Intel-based GFX-cards? Sax2 do'nt works right for the ATI video cards. I got a black screen after configuring the propietary driver of ATI for a Radeon RX1550 card with sax2. I must make the configuration with aticonfig, and then video works right. Most likely, yes.

Could you please make sure to get this into bugzilla, if it's not already there? Thanks, Christoph -- Christoph Thiel, Tech. In fact, primary.xml does not contain info about sax2 either, so no fun with zypper. Stano --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Sounds like something went wrong with the patch generation. I'll try to get this resolved. Thanks, Christoph -- Christoph Thiel, Tech. It actually turned out to be download redirector issue, which has been resolved in the meantime. Best, Christoph -- Christoph Thiel, Tech.
