[opensuse-factory] mawk as an alternative to gawk
I'd like to propose the inclusion of mawk into Factory as an alternative to gawk. This requires two changes, gawk would need to support update-alternatives and mawk would need to be added to Factory. My rationale is that mawk is significantly faster than gawk, that it is (almost, still WIP) POSIX.2 compliant and supports only few extensions, which allows for testing and ensuring the portability of scripts. There should be no side effects, mawk would remain an optional package and have a lower update-alternatives priority than gawk.
