[opensuse-factory] tw-update repo needed or not?
tw-update repo enabled, http://git.io/vWP5u as shown, i just 'dup'ed to current tw-snapshot, pulseaudio dup'ed from main repo instead, perhaps main is newer, do i need to keep updates enabled or is it redundant? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

The update repo for TW is not needed normally, but it doesn't hurt to have it enabled. It is only used on emergencies: for instance, when a security issue is found, but for some reason can not be provided in the main repo (it is not building, f.i.), a patch may be provided instead in the update repo. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. Not exactly. Packages land in the TW repos when a new snapshot is released. In some cases the devs can push updates through the update repo, to avoid having to wait for the new snapshot to be released. -- Gertjan Lettink, a.k.a.
