[opensuse-factory] scheduling while atomic
Hi, I see this happening quiet often in my log file and I assume it's one of the drivers which is not playing nicely. Of course I will probably just hear as a reply that my lernel is tained (doh! I know) and not supported in this case... but maybe, really only maybe, somebody has seen similiar things on non-tainted kernels? If not I'll try to get this thing in my log file without the nvidia blob (I remember having seen it also without.. but I won't put my hands on fire for this). The log reads: BUG: scheduling while atomic: swapper/0/0x10000100 Modules linked in: sco bridge stp bnep rfcomm l2cap bluetooth ip6t_LOG xt_tcpudp xt_pkttype ipt_LOG xt_limit af_packet binfmt_misc snd_pcm_oss snd_mixer_oss snd_seq snd_seq_device ppdev vmnet(N) parport_pc parport vmblock(N) vmci(N) vmmon(N) nls_utf8 cifs(X) ip6t_REJECT nf_conntrack_ipv6 ip6table_raw xt_NOTRACK ipt_REJECT xt_state iptable_raw iptable_filter ip6table_mangle nf_conntrack_netbios_ns nf_conntrack_ipv4 nf_conntrack ip_tables ip6table_filter ip6_tables x_tables ipv6 fuse loop dm_mod snd_hda_intel snd_pcm snd_timer video snd_page_alloc snd_hwdep tg3 output intel_agp iTCO_wdt i2c_i801 snd wmi nvidia(PN) button rtc_cmos libphy battery ac sr_mod rtc_core i2c_core pcspkr iTCO_vendor_support dcdbas(X) rtc_lib cdrom soundcore sg joydev usbhid hid ff_memless sd_mod uhci_hcd ehci_hcd crc_t10dif usbcore edd ext3 mbcache jbd fan ata_piix ahci libata scsi_mod dock thermal processor thermal_sys hwmon Supported: No CPU 1: Modules linked in: sco bridge stp bnep rfcomm l2cap bluetooth ip6t_LOG xt_tcpudp xt_pkttype ipt_LOG xt_limit af_packet binfmt_misc snd_pcm_oss snd_mixer_oss snd_seq snd_seq_device ppdev vmnet(N) parport_pc parport vmblock(N) vmci(N) vmmon(N) nls_utf8 cifs(X) ip6t_REJECT nf_conntrack_ipv6 ip6table_raw xt_NOTRACK ipt_REJECT xt_state iptable_raw iptable_filter ip6table_mangle nf_conntrack_netbios_ns nf_conntrack_ipv4 nf_conntrack ip_tables ip6table_filter ip6_tables x_tables ipv6 fuse loop dm_mod snd_hda_intel snd_pcm snd_timer video snd_page_alloc snd_hwdep tg3 output intel_agp iTCO_wdt i2c_i801 snd wmi nvidia(PN) button rtc_cmos libphy battery ac sr_mod rtc_core i2c_core pcspkr iTCO_vendor_support dcdbas(X) rtc_lib cdrom soundcore sg joydev usbhid hid ff_memless sd_mod uhci_hcd ehci_hcd crc_t10dif usbcore edd ext3 mbcache jbd fan ata_piix ahci libata scsi_mod dock thermal processor thermal_sys hwmon Supported: No Pid: 0, comm: swapper Tainted: P 2.6.27.7-3-default #1 RIP: 0010:[<ffffffffa000a3af>] [<ffffffffa000a3af>] acpi_idle_enter_bm+0x32b/0x3b5 [processor] RSP: 0018:ffff88011fb5bec8 EFLAGS: 00000282 RAX: 0000000000000002 RBX: 0000000000f87d99 RCX: 00000d2be0a59f94 RDX: 0000000000000000 RSI: 00000d2be0637013 RDI: ffff88002803c500 RBP: 0000000000000000 R08: 0000000000000002 R09: ffffffff805ea858 R10: 00000000ffffffff R11: ffffffff8021c6ed R12: ffffffff8025a22c R13: ffffffff8071b654 R14: 0000000000000000 R15: 0000000000001020 FS: 0000000000000000(0000) GS:ffff88011facf340(0000) knlGS:0000000000000000 CS: 0010 DS: 0018 ES: 0018 CR0: 000000008005003b CR2: 00007f9fe1f1a000 CR3: 0000000000201000 CR4: 00000000000006e0 DR0: 0000000000000000 DR1: 0000000000000000 DR2: 0000000000000000 DR3: 0000000000000000 DR6: 00000000ffff0ff0 DR7: 0000000000000400 Call Trace: [<ffffffff80418ca5>] cpuidle_idle_call+0x95/0xd3 [<ffffffff8020b3b5>] cpu_idle+0xa9/0xf1 Any ideas on how to get rid? Basically, the machine continues to work, I don't really 'feel' anything being wrong when this happens... (well, my mouse stutters for a few seconds...) See <https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=447974>. Updating to a newer kernel fixed it for me. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
