Check which package installed the file /etc/udev/rules.d/55-hpmud.rules and get a version that is compatible with todays udev. Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

What version of hplip do you have there? I have 3.12.4, which does not have ANY "SYSFS" in 55-hpmud.rules. Do you have a .rpmsave / .rpmnew in /etc/udev/rules.d ? This is not from an openSUSE hplip package because we adapt the HPLIP upstream udev rules (in particular we change SYSFS to ATTR because SYSFS is deprecated since some time). And recent HPLIP upstream seems to have also switched from SYSFS to ATTR. I assume you use an old/outdated HPLIP software. If my assumption isright, use up-to-date openSUSE hplip packages, see http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:How_to_set-up_a_HP_printer and/or report the issue to HPLIP upstream at http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/support.html Kind Regards Johannes Meixner -- SUSE LINUX Products GmbH -- Maxfeldstrasse 5 -- 90409 Nuernberg -- Germany HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendoerffer -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
