TW: Missing kdenlive effects
Hi, I have been working on a Kdenlive project in OpenSUSE Tumbleweed and after the recent update, I got the message that the autotrack_rectangle effect is missing and is being removed from the project. That is a consequence of the kdenlive update. There is a replacement "opencv tracker", however that does not show up. That's likely because libmlt is built without opencv support. It was explicitly disabled as a fix for https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1068792 ... Kind Regards, Wolfgang
Hi Wolfgang. thanks for the answer. Now I need to find an alternative for pixelating faces. I tried the appimage of kdenlive, but that came without any frei0r effects. Cheers Uwe

You could also try flatpak [1] or snap [2], they both mention ‘many effects and transitions’ as a feature, no idea which ones though. Btw only the flatpak version is mentioned on the kdenlive download page [3]. I did download the appimage again and this time I do not get the warning about the missing frei0r effects. ??? Anyway, when using the "Show all video effects" the Motion tracker effect is listed. I haven't tried it yet, but at least it is there. Cheers Uwe
