VirtualBox on Leap 15.6 not building
There is an important fix for VirtualBox on Leap 15.6 waiting at OBS. It is blocked by kbuild, gsoap-devel, and libgsoap. Package kbuild is blocked by package byacc. Package byacc has been successfully built for x86_64 and ppc64le, but is in the "scheduled" state for aarch64 and s390x. I have seen it in this state for over 24 hours. Is there an explanation for these architectures to be scheduled, but not run? Thanks, Larry

These architectures have a lower number of build workers than x86_64, and a big build queue - which means more scheduled packages per build worker. Current numbers, to give you an idea: x86_64: ~1100 workers, 30k scheduled (27 per worker), 90k blocked aarch64: ~250 workers, 35k scheduled, (140 per worker) >70k blocked s390x: ~105 workers, 13k scheduled (123 per worker), >30k blocked The numbers above are read from the graphs and therefore not 100% exact, just "good enough". Also, the graph of blocked packages got cut off for aarch64 and s390x, so the real number of blocked packages is probably higher than the numbers I've shown above. You can find the current number of workers, scheduled and blocked packages etc. on https://build.opensuse.org/monitor (scroll down to the end of the page, and pick an architecture) Regards, Christian Boltz --
