Once again, I updated my iBook (G3, 900 MHz, 640 MB) and it basically works (Gnome desktop):
I was't able to install openSUSE (11.0 RC1 for PPC on DVD) on 2 PPC machines...
(I've submitted a bug 2 minutes ago: Bug 399264)
There is anyone on this list that as been capable to install on a G4/G5 ? The problem seems to be that the installer can't find the source CD... I think that the Kernel doesn't have the modules which enable him to access some specific apple eide/ata chipset.
There is some manual tricks that i can use load to load them at runtime ? (loading this divers from a usb pendrive and/or getting them from an ftp/http resource...)
