Please note that this mail was generated by a script. The described changes are computed based on the x86_64 DVD. The full online repo contains too many changes to be listed here. Please check the known defects of this snapshot before upgrading: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/overview?distri=opensuse&groupid=1&version=Tumbleweed&build=20170602 When you reply to report some issues, make sure to change the subject. It is not helpful to keep the release announcement subject in a thread while discussing a specific problem. Please file a bug repquest so the aaa_base maintainer can take a look at that. You can also create a pull request directly on github https://github.com/openSUSE/aaa_base Cheers, Dominique

It is even worse: csh> source /etc/csh.login if: Expression Syntax. if ( $TERM =~ screen.* -a && ! -e /usr/share/terminfo/s/$TERM) setenv TERM screen ^^^^^ => if ( $TERM =~ screen.* && ! -e /usr/share/terminfo/s/$TERM) setenv TERM screen With that line fixed, I think the problem also goes away for 95% of the users. I filed a bug report on this last evening. It is bug 1042571 The problem for me, is that the line shown has some Bourne shell syntax, which breaks csh (the "-a"). I'm not sure what is your objection. Personally, I think "/etc/csh.login" and "/etc/csh.cshrc" should be empty or near empty. I never liked it when the system admin forced unnecessary stuff on me. It is even worse when the distro forces it. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJZNVs9AAoJEGSXLIzRJwiFKg8H/2clEV0aUTiTodQT5kgZm6mq IONyGgXIj+gk+ZJ1dG36CX28+GxhsU6H+s0jfHFD0n+23rehC6V/v/z6fGKeXZcR ozUqxT05kOCDqe3QdWp9MydONwjAFR0bCVy+kYbxGYxt4Ru+VYyt+Io9D3YnrUFi 1Q7oFL7Lrq7tawjpGwzU9O1YhKVlwxjcf94Jv50H3SeW6SBhLL7SEhCujtriKK0s fWVYVd1e11x9oxeAe/w9RqUHsTW1x4iM3EqxefpMOm5xHF9fuvvBlSjILX0EWPOL lfTonFvdza3pOKgFq7Eqb1ku2aajeuJ/7fenxqn5deLxpIslk2mear/0WcFG9Qg= =mM8Z -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I already did a pull request with the fix
The problem for me, is that the line shown has some Bourne shell syntax, which breaks csh (the "-a").
yep, that
I'm not sure what is your objection.

I did not mean for you to apologise, but only made an observation. I have done this many times myself. Regards. -- Sudhir Anand -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
