Fwd: [opensuse-factory] Ceph -> Tumbleweed
Thanks to Michal for the googling. We already have a top-level project in OBS: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/filesystems:ceph We have made subprojects for the various upstream major releases. The one we would like to get into Factory/Tumbleweed is called "jewel", so the devel project in this case woudl be: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/filesystems:ceph:jewel So the question becomes: "How to make filesystems:ceph:jewel the devel project for Ceph-in-Factory/Tumbleweed?" I just noticed that "filesystems" is in that whitelist. Maybe I could just do an SR from filesystems:ceph:jewel to filesystems? Nathan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I just noticed that "filesystems" is in that whitelist. Maybe I could just do an SR from filesystems:ceph:jewel to filesystems? Well this would probably work as well (there is already similar setup for squid)

Should I ask for an informal spec file review here first? Any other caveats? Nathan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Should I ask for an informal spec file review here first? Any other caveats? This is not necessary, review will be done on submission to TW by our top experts in area of spec files. Introduction of package is enough.

I'm not sure about that -- we originally moved ceph out of filesystems to a subproject so we could work on different versions. Maybe try a submit to tumbleweed from filesystems:ceph:jewel, have that the devel project for now, then later when we switch to whatever the K release of ceph will be, change the devel project again then...? But since TW will only carry one version, you can just copy the candidate version out of filesystems:ceph:blah/ceph to filesystems/ceph. That way, you don't have to spend any time on asking coolo to edit the whitelist, or change develprj information. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

But filesystems:ceph is not in the whitelist. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

filesystems is. Which is what I pointed out. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
