Mesa 3D packages are not available for openSUSE Leap from X11:XOrg repository
Since 2024-06-17 (see boo#1226445 https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1226445) new Mesa 3D is not available for openSUSE Leap. That means newer GPUs (including iGPUs in new CPUs) cannot work with Leap. Previously it was possible to use new hardware with openSUSE Leap by getting Mesa 3D packages from X11:XOrg repo and new kernel from kernel:stable repo. Mesa 3D packages: https://software.opensuse.org/package/Mesa Will Mesa 3D packages be available from X11:XOrg repository for Leap?

Why should it? You need an updated kernel for updated drivers to work too. The hodge-podge doesn't work as people think it does. -- 真実はいつも一つ!/ Always, there's only one truth!
The work within devel projects is with devel project maintainers. My suggestion is to talk to Stefan Dirsch. I am sure that he'd be happy for an extra hand in case it's offered. Lubos On Tue, Jul 2, 2024 at 5:52 PM Neal Gompa <ngompa13@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi If anyone is able to provide a fix for building against Leap 15.6, I can re-enable the build against Leap 15.6. But I'm afraid the fix won't be trivial. meson on Leap 15.5 is too old for building current Mesa 24.1.x. Thanks, Stefan On Wed, Jul 03, 2024 at 10:14:26AM +0200, Lubos Kocman wrote:
