[opensuse-factory] zypper trying to replace installed package bat with alsabat on dup
I just installed bat which is basically like cat, but with syntax highlighting and such. When I run zypper dup, zypper wants to replace bat with alsabat. alsabat has absolutely nothing to do with bat lol... completley different functions. Both are from the Main OSS Repository. bat:
Description : A cat(1) clone which supports syntax highlighting for a large number of programming and markup languages. It has git integration and automatic p= aging.
alsabat:
Description : BAT (Basic Audio Tester) is a simple command-line utility intended to help automate audio driver and sound server testing with little human=
interaction. BAT can be used to test audio quality, stress test features=
and test audio before and after PM state changes. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I agree in general, but in this specific case, writing a bugreport takes more time than submitting a fix ;-) (Coolo's mail was quite helpful ;-) I took the liberty to "report" the issue as https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/643690 BTW: This is one of the cases where even packaging and OBS newbies can easily get started ;-) Regards, Christian Boltz -- Maybe everyone capable enough to write a book on systemd still hopes it dies in a foreseeable future.
