Aw: Re: [opensuse-factory] PCSC with ReinerSCT Cyberjack don't work after yesterday update
Hi Wolfgang, thanks for the fast answer.
Gesendet: Samstag, 09. April 2016 um 10:47 Uhr; Von: "Wolfgang Rosenauer" the tool "cyberjack" is not included anymore from upstream.
:-( the tool was very helpful for diagnosis (but I've not used it since many years)
pcsc_scan is the recommended tool to check functionality but it was never included in this package. It's an extra package AFAICT.
But this package is not available in the standard repositories :-(
Actually moneyplex and my cyberjack reader still works fine on my 42.1
How I can find the Version? I checked the /etc/S*SE files $ cat /etc/SuSE-release openSUSE 20160407 (x86_64) VERSION = 20160407 CODENAME = Tumbleweed # /etc/SuSE-release is deprecated and will be removed in the future, use /etc/os-release instead
system with the upgrade installed from security:chipcard.
$ zypper lr # | Alias | Name | Enabled | GPG Check | Refresh --+------------------+------------------+---------+-----------+-------- 1 | packman | packman | Yes | (r ) Yes | Yes 2 | repo-debug | repo-debug | Yes | (r ) Yes | Yes 3 | repo-non-oss | repo-non-oss | Yes | (r ) Yes | Yes 4 | repo-oss | repo-oss | Yes | (r ) Yes | Yes 5 | repo-src-non-oss | repo-src-non-oss | No | ---- | Yes 6 | repo-src-oss | repo-src-oss | No | ---- | Yes 7 | repo-update | repo-update | Yes | (r ) Yes | Yes Do I need the repro security:chipcard - can you forwared me the complete path?
I also have pcsc-lite 1.8.16 from that repo.
So I cannot reproduce the issue on 42.1 and the missing tools do not explain why the driver should fail.
I've checked the following $ rcpcscd status Apr 09 11:14:34 schnuffi pcscd[2283]: 00000000 readerfactory.c:1097:RFInitializeReader() Open Port 0x200000 Failed (usb:0c4b/0401:libudev:0:/dev/bus/usb/005/003) Apr 09 11:14:34 schnuffi pcscd[2283]: 00000045 readerfactory.c:372:RFAddReader() REINER SCT cyberJack pp_a2 (0758687670) init failed. What check can be additional possible?
As Tumbleweed does not work for me for ages within VirtualBox I'm not sure I can quickly check there.
Folowing additional Info - please double check if possible. Meanwhile I will exchange the reader with the newer Version. $ cat /etc/cyberjack.conf # Version: 3.99.5final.SP09 flags=0 debugFile=/tmp/cj.log [vars] ReplaceTA1_96=149 $ rcpcscd status shows ● pcscd.service - PC/SC Smart Card Daemon Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/pcscd.service; indirect; vendor preset: enabled) Active: inactive (dead) since Sat 2016-04-09 11:12:35 CEST; 1min 29s ago Process: 2162 ExecStart=/usr/sbin/pcscd --foreground --auto-exit $PCSCD_OPTIONS (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS) Main PID: 2162 (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS) Apr 09 11:11:31 schnuffi systemd[1]: Started PC/SC Smart Card Daemon. OK, thanks. But no change in the Problem. Now I've exchanged the old CyberJack e-com with the new RFID-Comfort, it works fine. A cross check on an other PC (but still same Tumbleweed version). The Reader don't work. It looks like an HW or FW issue of the e-com. Alternative it can be an issue that the old one is no more supported from the driver. I will ask in the normally very good ReinerSCT support.
