Just updated to 20161026, dropped to multi-user to clear replaced instances and have no text displayed in tty's. I can enter commands in tty's I know are open, but there is no text/char's displayed. Rebooting to multi-user has text displayed, but moving to graphical and then back to multi-user and no text displayed. In graphical target text is displayed in the tty's. nvidia gs450 w/nvidia 375.10 driver. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

If you can enter a command blindly, why not try entering 'stty sane' or 'stty echo' -- /"\ \ / ASCII Ribbon Campaign X Against HTML Mail / \ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

nvidia gs450 w/nvidia 375.10 driver. Might be irrelevant but I had to rebuild the nvidia driver after that update even though there was no kernel update. I couldn't get graphical mode at all, it reported plasma can't use opengl 2.0 (although i'm set to opengl 3.1)

tks, I am using opengl 3.2 but do not get _complaints_ from plasma 5.8.2, and I tend to rebuild/re-install the nvidia driver whenever I drop to multi-user target. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

nvidia 370.28 does not have the problem. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
