[opensuse-factory] Adding mintmenu to openSUSE
I've been packaging mintmenu (for both SUSE and Fedora) for a while on my own using my home project on OBS. I'd now like to go about getting it included in the openSUSE repositories. For those that don't know, mintmenu is the default menu from Linux Mint, it's written in python and distributed under GPLv2. While it's uses pygtk, and is primarily used in gnome, it can be used in other desktop environments also (I've used it in it's own window with OpenBox and FluxBox). It provides a list of favorite applications, as well as a searchable menu of installed applications. I love using mintmenu over the alternatives and believe that other users would enjoy it as well, if it were installable from official channels. I'm unsure, however, which devel project I should submit it to. Any help in getting the ball rolling would be helpful. My home project: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=home:unamanic Closest thing to upostream: tarballs: http://packages.linuxmint.com/pool/main/m/mintmenu/ git: https://github.com/linuxmint/mintmenu Thanks in advance, Will -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

If you can't find a suitable project (from your description, X11:windowmanagers sounds ok to me) - you can maintain it in devel:openSUSE:Factory. It's been a week now since submission via obs to X11:windowmanagers and I haven't gotten a reply. Is there a way to find out who has approval authority and email them directly, or is this mailing list the best way? "osc meta prj X11:windowmanagers", or look at the project's Users page in the web frontend.
