[TW] MPV still showing black screen since Mesa update
Tumbleweed, KDE, Wayland. I still can't get Mesa to play videos (*.mp4) since the update to Mesa a week ago. The sound plays OK, but the video is just a black screen. I am using a Radeon video card. :~> inxi -G Graphics: Device-1: Intel HD Graphics 530 driver: i915 v: kernel Device-2: AMD Lexa PRO [Radeon 540/540X/550/550X / RX 540X/550/550X] driver: amdgpu v: kernel Device-3: Logitech QuickCam Communicate MP/S5500 driver: snd-usb-audio,uvcvideo type: USB Display: wayland server: X.org v: 1.21.1.12 with: Xwayland v: 24.1.0 compositor: kwin_wayland driver: X: loaded: modesetting unloaded: fbdev,vesa dri: radeonsi,iris gpu: i915,amdgpu resolution: 2560x1440 API: EGL v: 1.5 drivers: iris,radeonsi,swrast platforms: wayland,x11,surfaceless,device API: OpenGL v: 4.6 compat-v: 4.5 vendor: amd mesa v: 24.1.1 renderer: AMD Radeon RX 550 / 550 Series (radeonsi polaris12 LLVM 18.1.6 DRM 3.57 6.9.5-1-default) API: Vulkan v: 1.3.283 drivers: N/A surfaces: xcb,xlib,wayland The version of Mesa that I am running is Information for package Mesa: ----------------------------- Repository : Main Update Repository Name : Mesa Version : 24.1.1-385.1 Arch : x86_64 Vendor : openSUSE and the following packages are installed: i+ | Mesa i+ | Mesa-dri i+ | Mesa-gallium i+ | Mesa-libEGL1 i+ | Mesa-libGL1 i+ | Mesa-libglapi0 i+ | Mesa-libva i+ | Mesa-vulkan-device-select i | libvulkan1 i+ | libvulkan_intel i+ | libvulkan_radeon Should I install a different version, and if so, which one and from which repository? -- Bob Williams No HTML please.
