The YaST core team implementation should be just one of those parties. Well, this needs to be supported to make it work, but so far we thought that having one process is really important to avoid the overhead of starting new program,

If you wan't interesting ideas for yast installer, I think you shoud look at katpan, the Pardus Yast2-installer equivalent, which purpose users optimisations. Of course it's only user preferences side. It could be great to purpose wifi configuration, drivers installation ( by using hardware detect backend ). Regards.
