As it was announced - the Java:sun:Factory wont be removed, so you can get dlj packages from here. The biggest change is it will not be updated as the cirumstances has been changed by Oracle.
There are some issues with OpenJDK 6 that prevent some applications from working.
For the JDK 1.6 version a warning should/could be popped up when installing stating it is on its way out and is merely available as a convenience. This would give applications time to repackage until 12.2?
