[opensuse-factory] preload-kmp-desktop issue in 'zypper dup' to oS 11.3 MX

Hi Listmates, I 'zypper dup' from openSUSE 11.2, and keep having problem like this: Problem: nothing provides ksym(desktop:mod_timer) = 45450063 needed by preload-kmp-desktop-1.1_2.6.32.0_rc5_git3_1-10.4.i586 Solution 1: Following actions will be done: keep obsolete preload-kmp-desktop-1.1_2.6.31.12_0.1-6.9.12.i586 keep obsolete kernel-desktop-2.6.31.12-0.1.1.i586 Solution 2: break preload-kmp-desktop by ignoring some of its dependencies It can still successfully upgrade all packages except those two packages. openSUSE 11.3 M2 failed (kernel panic) to boot tp my Acer Aspire 5620, but succeded when it was M1. So I tried to have M2/M3 from openSUSE 11.2 with 'zypper dup' but has this kernel upgrade problem. ---
How to fix this? Thanks in advance. Best regards, -- Andi Sugandi (Bandung) openSUSE Ambassador http://en.opensuse.org/User:Andisugandi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I did it (sorry not to mentioned it on early post), and it failed to boot. I just find the issue that new kernel-desktop (2.6.33) will not boot properly except get the package from kernel:HEAD repository*, not yet fixed on Factory. Hopefully M3 will be having the good ones. *) http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-kernel/2010-02/msg00076.html Thanks.
