I've recently improved the hw-probe tool from openSUSE Hardware repository to search for missed drivers across recent Linux kernel versions (2.6 - 5.0) with the help of the LKDDb. If driver is missed for some device then the tool will suggest a proper kernel version or third-party drivers.
