[opensuse-factory] M2: choose Grub, get Grub and Grub2
Is it intentional that selecting a minimal server installation and Grub as bootloader that both Grub and Grub2 are installed? Is it intentional that 'zypper rm grub2; zypper al grub2' leaves content in /boot/grub2, even though I never used grub2 before removing it (on first boot)? -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Felix, this is the first release with grub2 as default bootloader. Thus expect some hickups - and report them. If you think something is wrong, please open a bug report. If any of the questions you ask, is based on actual behaviour, it's worth a bug report. Please post the number of the bugreports, so that I can assign them to the grub2 developers quickly... I have no problem filing if I think I find a bug, but here I asked because I can see a possibility that it might be necessary for the purpose of getting the Grub2 configuration bugs found and fixed. I don't necessarily see what I put in OP as bug(s) needing fixing, at least not at this time, before full integration of Grub2 into YaST2 and the rest of the supporting cast is considered feature complete. As a related aside, Novell's Bugzilla is the most annoying of the many Mozilla-Bugzilla installations I've ever used. The recent login changes compound the enormously annoying lack of login persistence, making me want to avoid Bugzilla as much as possible. It's no longer possible to login without using the keyboard multiple times prior to completion of the login process. :~( -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Please file a bugreport with details - and tell me the bug number, so that I can assign it to the bugzilla team ;) Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger aj@{suse.com,opensuse.org} Twitter/Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn,Jennifer Guild,Felix Imendörffer,HRB16746 (AG Nürnberg) GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
