I did not update yet, but I can add, that I had to re-install libreoffice-gtk3, because without it, libreoffice crashes everytime I try to open the pdf-generating dialogue. I found a third solution. I deinstalled libreoffice-gtk3 AND -kde4. The themeing looks strange now, but everything works again. Even if I check the openGL box. CPU load is always normal and pdf stuff works again. At least on my haswell laptop.
