Hi Marguerite, Tomas, Good to see that there are people standing up for Go packages :) I just discovered an inconsistency in the go-* packages. The sources are installed by the go-%{name}-doc package and located in /usr/share/go/contrib... which isn't in the GOPATH. There would be two possible solutions to fix that, though I'm not sure which one is the best for the future and to avoid troubles with already installed packages: * Add /usr/share/go/contrib to $GOPATH in go.sh This is an easy fix and doesn't change much for users, excepted that they will be able to build using go-%{name}-doc packages. * Copy the source files to /usr/%{libdir}/go/contrib instead. This is an easy fix too, but could moving files be a problem for already installed packages? At least it would be more consistent in the long run, since all these files would be located in $GOROOT, next to the compiled ones. As for the name of the package, I would be tempted to change the -doc into -devel to match the naming policy used for other languages. The -doc could contain the godoc generated HTML files instead.
