[opensuse-factory] device node creation
I found a bug on factory, at least with virtualbox https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=482302 in summary, /dev/sdb is not created by fdisk nor YaST I can create it by hand (mknode /dev/sdb b 8 17), but this don't survive a reboot what is the config to fix (by hand)? I don't know what creates /devs at boot thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.org http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-eic8MSSfM http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1412160445 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Look at udev. There are rules in /etc/udev/rules.d . Edit there will survive reboot. The real fix is to change part that creates those rules, but that is out of my scope. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

thanks finally it was probably lack of disk space that prevented scripts from doing they job. With very little more, all works as expected jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.org http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-eic8MSSfM http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1412160445 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
