Please check if the URLs defined for this repository are pointing to a valid repository. Disabling repository 'openSUSE-non-oss' because of the above error. The repository seems to be broken again. Looking at http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/suse/i5... there are just a few packages ...
Btw. what is the recommended way to add packages with zypper? I have some as yast2 and some as rpm-md... greetings Felix Möller --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Hi Felix, How it will be added depends on type of repository, not our whish to have it as yast or rpm-md. If it is yast type as /distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source than zypper or yast2 will add it as yast type. The same for rpm-md. Nothing that we can do about it. -- Regards, Rajko. Going back a while, it didn't matter whether you entered it as yast or rpm-md, it understood what to do. At the moment inst-source doesn't work because media.1 directory is missing, so you have to change the .repo to inst-source/suse and type=rpm-md to get zypper to work. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ... I've been confused about this for a while too. I clearly remember AJ saying in 10.1 development times something along the lines of: "We're moving 100% to rpm-md". Being the sucker that I am I always used rpm-md since then. But if I'm not mistaken the "Community Repositories" YaST2 module adds the official repos using the YaST-format? While BS-repos are only available in rpm-md? So what is recommended? What are pros and cons? Do each perform the same wrt. cache and download size? Do they support patterns and other features equally well? Any good reason not to "standardize" on a single repo format? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
