Hi all, can somebody explain why java-1_6_0-openjdk-1.6.0 been removed from the OBS for OS_12.2? It is still there for OS_11.4, OS_12,1 and even sles11_sp2. (repo/Java:/openjdk6:/) Reason for asking is a comment from a developper: "All distros still have OpenJDK 6, but offer OpenJDK 7 as well. So you have to select the right packages. JBoss 5 does not work with java 7." Hans. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

There's probably no reason instead of bootstrapping or something historical. So I've enabled openjdk6 for 12.2. Regards Michal Vyskocil

Thanks very much! Just finished a complete re-instrall of 12.1, mysql, openjdk, jboss-5.1 and ejb stuff. At least i know that this combination works,.. So now i can re-try a 12.2 system (what i very much prefer) I was explicitly told that jboss-5.1 would never work with java-7 And as jboss-7 is also out of the question (application restraint), i wonder if jboss-6.1 and java-7 will work together. (If somebody knows that, it would save me a 6-hour cycle ;-) Thanks anyway. Hi, I'm not really an expert on JBoss, but I do maintain for my employer JBoss packages for RHEL; We don't use JBoss 6, we jumped to 7 (Sun JDK JAVA7), but as far as I am aware from the documentation gathered during packaging, JBoss 6 should be working with JAVA6 and has not been tested with JAVA7. Hope this helps. NM 2012/12/3 Hans Witvliet <suse@a-domani.nl>:
