[opensuse-factory] KDE Extra key always needs confirmation
Hi Is there any way to get this key to be permanent when select "trust always"? I can select "a", let "zypper up"do the updates and run "zypper ref" again immediately afterwards and the key needs confirming again. This is a known issue. See e.g.: https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2017-04/msg00093.html https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/524002-KDE-update-quot-A-security... In this threads there are some suggestions, how to fix this. The one, that worked for me, was to uninstall Packagekit*. there is an option to disable update apper by right clicking the task tray, i have just realised i have not had the kde extra problem since doing this a week or so ago Thanks
I'll give that a try before uninstalling packagekit/apper -- opensuse:tumbleweed:20170522 Qt: 5.7.1 KDE Frameworks: 5.33.0 KDE Plasma: 5.9.5 kwin 5.9.5 kmail2 5.5.1 akonadiserver 5.5.1 Kernel: 4.11.1-1-default Nouveau: 1.0.15_1.1 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks I configured apper to only launch once a week as it was failing ever time it ran and i thought that would allow me to run zypper most times without a problem. If i run "zypper ref -f; zypper ref -f" it still does asks for the confirmation even though apper has no real chance to run inbetween the 2 zyppers but if i run "zypper ref; zypper ref" its fine (i guess until there is an update in KDE Extra). I tried the "clean" options listed in the forum and that worked but didn;t cure the problem. Looks like uninstalling packagekit/apper is next Ian -- opensuse:tumbleweed:20170522 Qt: 5.7.1 KDE Frameworks: 5.33.0 KDE Plasma: 5.9.5 kwin 5.9.5 kmail2 5.5.1 akonadiserver 5.5.1 Kernel: 4.11.1-1-default Nouveau: 1.0.15_1.1 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Of course there is always the option to find the bug and fix Packagekit. AFAIR the last big change was this "little" patch: https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file/openSUSE:Factory/PackageKit/Pac... Good luck :) Hendrik -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
