[opensuse-factory] The problems I see in RC1
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 (a list of the things I noticed, previous to bugzilla writing) * I just had a hard lock! Had to powercycle the laptop. I was doing nothing... a cup of tea, actually. When I came back it was hardlocked on a text screen. Should have made a photo of it. Last activity logged: Feb 13 13:15:01 Minas-Anor run-crons[22526]: suse-clean_catman: OK Feb 13 13:15:14 Minas-Anor run-crons[22526]: suse-do_mandb: OK Feb 13 13:15:14 Minas-Anor su: (to nobody) root on none Feb 13 13:27:21 Minas-Anor kernel: imklog 5.6.3, log source = /proc/kmsg started. A bit earlier I had restored from a long suspend to ram. * Yesterday there was an OOPS, saw it today. I will put it on a bugzilla. Feb 13 13:08:12 Minas-Anor kernel: [17278.617531] Oops: 0002 [#1] PREEMPT SMP Feb 13 13:08:12 Minas-Anor kernel: [17278.617539] last sysfs file: /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1/cpufreq/scaling_governor Feb 13 13:08:12 Minas-Anor kernel: [17278.617548] CPU 0 * gkrellm has lost the cpu temperature display, and gained a new one compared to 11.2. On first boot I had the three (two cores). After running "sensors-detect", I lost the cpu temp. Correction: now, after the above mentioned lock, "sensors" displays all three. Gkrellm corrected. Minas-Anor:~ # sensors acpitz-virtual-0 Adapter: Virtual device temp1: +29.0°C <--- what is this? coretemp-isa-0000 Adapter: ISA adapter Core 0: +21.0°C (high = +105.0°C, crit = +105.0°C) coretemp-isa-0001 Adapter: ISA adapter Core 1: +21.0°C (high = +105.0°C, crit = +105.0°C) * During boot I see a message like this (from memory, it is not logged): Waiting for /other/home/_var_fctry_pckgs/packages to appear:..... and the boot process stops there, waiting, till it says "timeout" after several seconds. It is a nuisance. This is related to this line in fstab: /other/home/_var_fctry_pckgs/packages /var/cache/zypp/packages none bind 0 0 The filesystem is mounted alright. * Compiz is a total failure. * mc in 11.2 can not open ssh to 11.4 (no entry logged). On xterm, same direction, ssh works. Mc in reverse direction works. * mc display is weird, there is an "'n" in the top status line before "name": Left File Command Options Right ┌<─ ....168.1.14/etc/pm/sleep.d ─.[^]>┐┌<─ /etc/pm/sleep.d ──────────────.[^]>┐ │'n Name │ Size │Modify time ││'n Name │ Size │Modify time │ <== │/.. │UP--DIR│Dec 28 08:48││/.. │UP--DIR│Feb 2 02:08│ │*0cosas │ 732│Jan 2 01:22││*0cosas │ 607│Feb 13 13:58│ │*0cosas~ │ 575│Jan 1 20:56││*99at │ 134│Feb 2 02:36│ In 11.2: Left File Command Options Right ┌<─ /etc/pm ─────────────────────v>┐┌<─ /etc/pm ─────────────────────v>┐ │ Name │ Size │ MTime ││ Name │ Size │ MTime │ │/.. │UP--DIR│ ^│/.. │UP--DIR│ ^ │/config.d │ 4096│Dec 28 08:48 *│/config.d │ 4096│Dec 28 08:48 * For which of those do you want bugzillas? - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
