Hi . Well i though i would have a look at 11.1 beta2 by installing on a spare hard drive in the laptop but it gets to 69% of kernel loading and just stops dead i have just left it for 2 hours still the same more info i am nmot sure how to get . The machine is as follows Compaq Presario V5030 AMD Turion 64 , 1 Gb Ram Shared video using 256 Mb video is ATI Radeon express 200M ,TSW cd/dvd drive Broadcom wirless chip (works just fine under 10.3) RTL8139 Ethetnet on board.
