[opensuse-factory] How to add new project to the offical repo?
Hi all! My name is Roy, and I'm new here. I want to know how to add new project to the official repo? Any rules/tutorials can I follow? Thanks! PS: I know how to write spec file and create new project with OSC. First you build your new package in the home:you namespace. After osc build does not complain anymore (no warnings) and you have verified the right license, changelog etc, you need to make a submit request to the devel project where it could belong.
Example: osc sr mail:server or osc sr devel:languages:perl Add a verbose description what this new package is good for. If you are unsure which devel project could be right, ask here on the mailing list. The devel project maintainers will review your package and eventually accept it. From there, you can submit it to openSUSE:Factory osc sr openSUSE:Factory A new review process will begin, including legal review. Legal review for NEW packages (as opposed to updates) can take a few days or weeks. Things accepted for Factory will come to the new distribution. When you submit something to factory, be prepared to handle security updates for the next three years.
