[opensuse-factory] modifying a package for Leap

Hi, I see, that syslog-ng does not compile on Leap due to missing redis libraries: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:42:Factory-Candidates-Check... How can I turn this feature off for Leap? Bye, CzP -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Well, they broke that. %sles_version 0 Now, we can no longer distinguish. Result: %if !SLE12 BuildRequires: package-devel %else # ah wth, just build without PACKAGE and move on because it's way too many # deps. %endif -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Better use '%bcond_with string ; %if %{which string}' to allow people to link that pkg into another prj and enable that feature in proconf. Olaf PS: bcond_with might be bcond_without, their logic handling is flawed. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

This was dropped already intentionally. Coolo, we really need to have a way to distinguish between SLE12 and Leap. And, Leap will be evolving in future, so the macro should be also flexible enough to be able to distinguish between 42.1 and 42.2 (and later). thanks, Takashi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

The agreement was: suse_version sticks with 1315 forever in the sle12/Leap 42.X projects sle_version increases with service packages / .X releases - as we need it. is_opensuse splits sle12 and Leap Greetings, Stephan -- Ma muaß weiterkämpfen, kämpfen bis zum Umfalln, a wenn die ganze Welt an Arsch offen hat, oder grad deswegn. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

OK, thanks. It's certainly messy, but should work... Takashi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Well, my initial thought was a macro like %os_leap_version, e.g. can be used like: %if 0{%?suse_version} >= 1320 || 0{%?os_leap_version} >= 4201 BuildRequires: newpkg-devel %else BuildRequires: oldpkg %endif Takashi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Hi Bruce, It won't become active without someone at least filing a bug report or fate entry for it so we can sync it in SLE12.
