[opensuse-factory] incorrect-fsf-address - seriously?
Hi, isn't there a more elegant way to solve this? --- cut --- pmidi.x86_64: W: incorrect-fsf-address /usr/share/doc/packages/pmidi/COPYING The Free Software Foundation address in this file seems to be outdated or misspelled. Ask upstream to update the address, or if this is a license file, possibly the entire file with a new copy available from the FSF. --- cut --- I almost wanted to ask: why don't you do it yourself? ;) Consider everyone has to do what is proposed there... and/or the FSF moves 2 or 3 times a year... Just a blunt idea: the license could be taken from the respective RPM tag in the spec file and the file copied into the package. Or why not make a package named "licenses" or similar and create a link? This would save a lot of space, packaging time, etc. -- Bye, Stephan Barth SUSE MaintenanceSecurity - SUSE LINUX Products GmbH GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer HRB 21284 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Well, you can't go around chaging people's licenses at will. Let alone automatically. There's usually a clause that demands the license be copied verbatim. So the only (legal) way to push changes to it, is to actually ask upstream. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
