[opensuse-factory] beta1 does not umount rootfs at restart?
Every time at boot, I see reiserfs replaying a lot of transactions with my user id. Can anyone confirm? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Buna Silviu, I have the same, but actually see it 'crashing' on shutdown. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=365491 I have to force power off the system, and for this reason on next boot it of course goes through a Disk check. I have discovered that I don't have the rootfs in /etc/fstab. It probably gets mounted by some obscure magic. Actually I have a suspicion that the new automatic configuration or second stage configuration, whatever it's called, didn't run at all after installation. It must be a problem with the LiveCD installation, due to the fact it's the first version apart from Alpha3+. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Yep, that was it, adding the rootfs in fstab solves the problem. I'll do a second installation in a virtual machine to confirm this. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I also have this problem with the reiserfs root partition not being unmounted correctly on shutdown. But I have the root partition in fstab: /dev/disk/by-id/scsi-SATA_ST3250620AS_9QE06NM6-part2 / reiserfs defaults 1 1 Andras -- Quanta Plus developer - http://quanta.kdewebdev.org K Desktop Environment - http://www.kde.org
