Or zypper up \*kernel*
I've filed bug https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=444104 to try and get it renamed kernel-rt-source instead of kernel-source-rt votes appreciated. Regards Dave P
I don't see much reason for such a rename. After all the 'error' happened due to a wrong install command given by the user, using zypper. What would you expect happens on in * ? Renaming packages for such a reason sounds not like solving anything. I for myself happen often to use up *yasy* to update all the yast modules I have installed... if you use 'up' instead of 'in', it will 'upgrade' all matching packages, not 'install' all (more) matching packages. Using zypper up requires --force-resolution option as well if used with wild cards in some cases otherwise it comes up with endless conflicts, zypper in defaults to --force-resolution, therefore I normally use zypper in. The packages kernel-source/syms-rt are new packages in factory and I am just asking politely for them to be renamed or alternately for consistency of naming we could have kernel-source-pae and kernel-source-default but if it is a problem for the packagers I will understand. I am just about to reboot and install NVIDIA-Linux-x86-177.80-pkg1.run with 2.6.27.5-1.1 kernel I will report back if it works.
