[opensuse-factory] Default wallpaper in KDE
I think SUSE artists can do much better that that washed out blue wallpaper "gnome boredoom"-style. Can we have something more that goes better with the default KDE theme? Minor cosmetic issue, but still, the default wallpaper is the first thing users see. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I agree.

I'd *love* to see TUX embedded in there somehow. It's a great pity that SUSE doesn't use it more. Many "normal" users (so, not you ;-) ) don't know much about Linux, but know this lovely penguin and that it's the mascot of Linux. -- MfG, David Mayr =========================== LunaBOX Network Solutions --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

OK, So I would prefer to see SUSE Linux 10.0 default wallpaper on 10.2, because it's most beautyful up to now. Really, the 10.2 wallpaper is a bit primitive / out-of-place. Also, I would like older beautyful wallpapers from SUSE 9.1 to be included. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
Indeed...Its not that I don't like the new artwork, it just seems to
be too simple, not much going on, not even a SUSE or openSUSE logo or
anything. So far I think SuSE 10 has had the best artwork, it would be
nice if it could be included.

I agree that the bootsplash for the grubmenu, used in the Beta one is perfect..nice iguano from the dvdinstall menu... Why is that changed to a black grubmenu, in the following beta's? M9.

That was a bug, as noted in the beta2 Release notes.
Ah, the release notes, in Beta2plus it is still the black screen, only one kernel entrance added... M9.
Kind thoughts, Francis.

I do not dislike the 10.2 wallpaper, however, one must agree that no seeing no alusion to SUSE and/or Linux on the wallpaper feels strange. Where are the marketing guys? What about using the bootsplash image from tty1? It looks more friendly than the dark blue wallpaper ;-)

No insult intended for the artist. The idea was that the current wallpaper is styled to Gnome (that would be the washed out style, <mean>I assume the insult to that</mean>) and doesn't fit in KDE. For example, the blue picture while loading the system is much better, just a little less intense blue for the desktop, but the same colour. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
