Sorry - it "Works for me"! I just now installed from openSUSE-11.1-Beta5.2-NET-i586-Build0155-Media.iso as boot medium then ftp from my server where openSUSE-11.1-Beta5-DVD-i586.iso was loop-mounted. Defaults throughout except for: * LVM (one of 2 HDs fitted previously set up & used with LVM) * UK language / keyboard * user password as root (why is that *still* default? This isn't M$!) * system mail to primary user (would seem generally a good idea) * KDE 4.1 (well, I still hate KDE4 but I don't expect to be able avoid it except by switching to gnome...)
