Hi *, with the latest patches for openSuSE Leap 42.1 lots of systray icons are missing, for example for amarok or kvirc. An empty space is shown instead. Is this a bug or am I missing some package? It seems to be a bug in the Breeze Dark theme. Changing the desktop them to openSUSElight works for me. Cheers, Gary Lin -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I already use the an openSuE theme, but I'll play with the themes a bit. Thx for this hint.

Its not only Breeze Dark but als the Breeze Theme. For me its the Amarok Icon which is missing in both Breeze Themes . openSUSE Light and openSUSE Dark both do not show the issue. -- Stefan Kunze SUSE Dispatch Engineer ________________________________________________________________ SUSE Linux GmbH, GF: Felix Imendörffer, Jane Smithard, Graham Norton, HRB 21284 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, D-90409 Nürnberg

Well the amarok icon shouldn't need to be in the Breeze theme's it should be installed in the hicolor icon theme and KDE should fall back there to find it, if either of those things isn't happening then thats a bug. Gnome and enlightenment users may also want to use amarok and have a icon. Given that on my Leap system I have the following I suspect its the latter problem and the fallback is broken, which is worthy of a bug report find /usr/share/icons/hicolor/ -iname "*amarok*" Sat Dec 5 07:58:38 ACDT 2015 - 7 /usr/share/icons/hicolor/128x128/apps/amarok.png /usr/share/icons/hicolor/16x16/apps/amarok.png /usr/share/icons/hicolor/22x22/apps/amarok.png /usr/share/icons/hicolor/32x32/apps/amarok.png /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/amarok.png /usr/share/icons/hicolor/64x64/apps/amarok.png Cheers Simon

the fallback seems to work - sort of. After two reboots all of a sudden the amarok icon reappeared - and I swear, I didn't modify anything besides rebooting ;)
Cheers

I find similar strangeness with Breeze Dark and the Software Updater (packagekit) - with Breeze i can see the files names during download and installation but i only sometimes see the names with Breeze Dark -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

TIA.

Yup, installing sni-qt resurrected the amarok icon for my leap kvm. -Mike -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

sni-qt was already installed. I reinstalled it, but that didn't help. Nevertheless, thx for your suggestion.

If this is what I'm thinking of, it is a bug. If you want to use NetworkManager Applet in KDE or Enlightenment you need to install the package "NetworkManager-appindicator" Instead of "NetworkManager-gnome" which implements the newer systray protocol. As a heads up unfortunately atm it will only show the default interface and doesn't give indication of whether a wifi network is secured or not in its menu. This is why its currently a separate package. Cheers Simon -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
