[opensuse-factory] Can't update, missing requirement X11_ABI_VIDEODRV = 18.0 for xf86-video-vfl
Hi everyone, I can't update my Tumbleweed machine because of this error: http://s11.postimg.org/xt2ju0j4j/conflict.png It says in Spanish that xf86-video-v4l requires X11_ABI_VIDEODRV = 18.0 but this requirement does not exist. Below that it says that xorg-x11-server-7.6_1.16.2-1.3 is an "eliminated provider". The machine is just a regular laptop with Intel graphics, if that helps. Both xf86-video-vfl and xorg-x11-server-7.6 are coming from the official Tumbleweed repo. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

The xf86-video-v4l is quite useless nowadays. Just deinstall it. http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Xf86-video-v4l#video-v4l_still_.28currentl... You should also deinstall all the other xf86-video-* drivers but the intel one. Saves you and the openSUSE project some bandwidths. Thanks a lot Stefan for the fast reply. I wasn't sure if V4L was still used as a video output module. I went ahead and uninstalled V4L, but at any rate I think it would be best to fix the dependency issue so that new users don't get confused. V4L gets installed by default, so almost everyone will see this error.
